Alterations by Rhobia
Rhobia Brewer “Alterations by Rhobia” is a sewing alterations business run by Rhobia Brewer here in Merrill. Rhobia started sewing when she was 17. She worked in a tailoring shop in Sioux City for 5 years before moving to Merrill and becoming a stay-at-home mom. As the kids got older, she decided to take on more sewing projects. In 2012 she officially started Alterations by Rhobia, running the business from her home. She takes on all types of work from hems and zippers to prom & wedding dresses. She loves being able to sew and still be at home with her family. She feels it’s a dying art. She has had people come from near and far to have her help with their sewing needs.
Rhobia can be found on the Merrill website or contacted at 712-898-7341.
We’re glad Rhobia, Paul & their 3 boys chose Merrill as their home.

Cost is $9. Stay and play BINGO at 7 pm.

Thanks to the Library for hosting “Pockets Full of Fun” last month. About fifty people attended and it was fun for adults as well as children. Watch for events like this.

Sorry-water bills were late getting out. Weather was a big factor. The due date is correct on the stub (3-23-18). Please ignore the date in the lower left hand corner of the bill.

Some did not see the letter sent out last fall explaining why you saw an increase in your bill. The large increase is actually the sewer portion of the bill. Because of the one and a half million dollar lagoon project required by the DNR it was necessary to increase the sewer rates.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
